Distinctive Industries is a manufacturer of product and does not sell directly to consumers, therefore our policies are designed to service authorized distributors only. Consumers and end-users of our product are subject to the warranty policies of the company that sold the product. Please understand Distinctive Industries is not able to process a warranty claim for a product that was not sold directly by Distinctive Industries.
How can I buy Distinctive Industry interior products for my car?
To purchase Distinctive Industries interior products for your car, please use our dealer locator tool to find an authorized dealer near you. Our dealers carry our full range of products and can assist you with your purchase.
Do you take custom orders?
Currently, we do not offer custom upholstery options online. Authorized dealers may contact their sales representative regarding custom orders (also known as Specials). These products are not eligible for returns under any circumstance.
What is your return policy?
Clarification between Returns and Warranty claims:
Returns (This policy): You may return eligible products (see eligibility section) within 60 days for any reason. This incurs a 20% restocking fee, and customers are responsible for covering shipping costs.
Warranty Claims: These types of returns fall under our warranty policy (please read our separate Warranty Policy) and have different requirements for eligibility and processing. Returning approved warranty claims does not carry restocking fees or shipping costs.
Returns Policy
We understand that circumstances may arise where you may not be fully satisfied with our product, or you may no longer need it. For those situations, we are outlining our Returns Policy below:
Eligibility:
1. No-hassle return timeframe: Non-custom orders can be returned without hassle within 60 days of the shipping date. The return request should be submitted before the deadline and will still be subject of verification and inspection before refunds are provided. Please note, that every return has a 20% Restocking Fee.
2. Custom Orders: Custom orders (also known as Specials) are not eligible for returns under any circumstance. In the rate situations where a custom order might have a verifiable manufacturing defect, we may offer a replacement unit under our Warranty policy.
3. Products marked as final sale: In certain circumstances we might offer products that are sold as-is, marked as “final sale” and therefore these products will not be subject to this standard return policy.
Other considerations
1. Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for paying shipping costs for returned products as well as shipping costs of the original order in cases where Distinctive Industries covered the shipping charges.
2. Product condition: The product must be in its original condition, unused and without signs of wear or manipulation. An inspection upon receiving the product will determine the eligibility and the decision falls solely upon the discretion of Distinctive Industries.
3. Packaging: When possible, customers should retain the original packaging to be used for returning the product. Alternatively, it’s upon the customer’s responsibility to ship the product in an adequate packaging to ensure the proper handling and prevent any damages while on transit. If the product arrives to our facility damaged due to poor packaging, the customer will assume responsibility, and the refund will be denied.
Returns Process
1. To start a return process, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-421-9777 or at sales@di.vu.
2. If our customer service department determines that your product is eligible for a no-hassle return (within the 60-day window), then we will issue a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA). This will start the process of returning the product.
3. Upon receiving the RGA, you will also receive specific instructions to ship back the product. Please understand that if these instructions are not followed as requested, Distinctive Industries may deny the return.
4. Once the product is returned, our quality control team will inspect the product and determine if it’s eligible for a full refund. If the product fails to meet the criteria for a return, the customer will be responsible for covering the shipping costs back to them.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation Policy
We understand that circumstances may arise where you may need to cancel your order. Below is our cancellation policy for orders placed with Distinctive Industries:
1. Cancellation Window: Orders that are not for custom-made products or personalized items (also known as “Specials”) can be cancelled anytime within 72 hours of placing the order, as long as the product hasn’t shipped yet.
2. Custom (Special) Orders: Orders for custom-made or personalized products (Specials) cannot be cancelled once the order is placed. Please use caution when placing a custom (Special) order.
3. Cancellation Process: To cancel your order, please contact our customer service team at 1-800-421-9777 or via email at sales@di.vu. Please have your order number, account number and part number ready to expedite the process. Please note that in all cases we will need a written notification to process a cancellation.
4. Refund Process: Once your cancellation request is processed and approved:
o If payment has been made, a full refund will be issued to the original form of payment.
o Refunds may take up to 30 business days to process and appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.
o If the payment method was invoice on terms, the credit to your balance will be automatic and immediate upon cancellation. No further action will be necessary.
5. Exceptions: In rare cases where an order was in stock and was shipped within the 72 hour cancellation window, it will not be possible to cancel it. You may initiate a return once you receive the order, subject to our standard return policy.
6. Communication: We strive to communicate promptly about the status of your order and any cancellation requests. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Do you have a showroom where I can see products or pick up parts?
We do not have a showroom for direct customer visits. However, you can view our products through our authorized dealers or on our website.
Can I buy directly from Distinctive Industries?
We do not sell directly to consumers. Please use our dealer locator tool to find an authorized dealer near you.
Do you offer installation services?
We do not offer installation services. We recommend consulting the authorized dealer you purchased from or with a professional installer for the installation of our products.
How do I maintain my Distinctive Industries upholstery?
We recommend following the care instructions provided with your product. Generally, regular cleaning with a mild soap and water solution and avoiding harsh chemicals will help maintain the quality of your upholstery.
What is the warranty on Distinctive Industries products?
Warranty Policy
Distinctive Industries is dedicated to ensuring complete customer satisfaction with our products; therefore, all our products are covered by our Limited Warranty Policy, outlined below:
Limited Warranty Coverage:
1. We warrant our products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase.
2. Damage or defects originating from abuse, excessive wear and tear, modifications, improper installation and/or lack of proper routine care are not covered by this Limited Warranty Policy.
3. Claims of improper fitment due to modifications, installation, 3rd party accessories and/or OEM color matching are not valid warranty claims, and therefore are covered under our Limited Warranty Policy.
4. This Limited Warranty policy does not cover damages caused during transit/shipping. In those scenarios, a claim directly with the shipping company would be appropriate.
5. This Limited Warranty policy does not cover in any shape or form labor charges, show expenses, personal property damages and any other incidental costs.
Eligibility:
1. Original Customer: Distinctive Industries Limited Warranty only extends to the original customer that purchased the product directly from Distinctive Industries. Our Limited Warranty is nontransferable, noninterchangeable and does not extend to the end-user of the product.
2. Verification of claim: Distinctive Industries will attempt in all circumstances to make a good faith assessment of a claim via physical inspections of the product; however, in all cases it reserves the sole right and discretion to approve or deny a warranty claim.
3. Product pictures: Distinctive Industries requires a picture of the product clearly showing the defect/claim to start the warranty process. Failure to provide appropriate pictures could result in a denial of the claim. Please note that in certain circumstances we might require additional pictures of the product and packaging to verify the claim.
Warranty Claim Process:
1. To start a warranty claim process, please contact our customer service department at 1-800-421-9777 or at sales@di.vu.
2. If our customer service department determines that your product is eligible for a warranty claim, then we will issue a Return Goods Authorization number (RGA). This will start the process of returning the product to us. Please note that pictures of the product showing the claimed defect will be required to start the process.

5. Once the team has approved the warranty claim, there are several options we might proceed to remediate the problem. Such remedies may include repairing the product, shipping partial parts, issuing a full credit or replacing the product entirely. Distinctive Industries has the sole discretion to determine the proper solution to a warranty claim.
Limitation of Liability:
1. In no event shall we be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or business interruption.
2. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied.
Additional Rights:
1. This warranty and return policy are in addition to any statutory rights that you may have as a consumer under applicable local laws.
2. Nothing in this policy shall limit or exclude any rights you may have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited.

Can you recommend an installer in my area?
We do not maintain a list of recommended installers. However, your authorized dealer may be able to provide recommendations based on their experience.
If I buy my seat upholstery today and door panels or other parts later will they match?
Our products are designed to match existing interiors as closely as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to differences in manufacturing batches. We recommend purchasing all desired components at the same time for the best possible match.
